GUWAHATI: Santanu Bharali has been appointed as a member of the Assam Human Rights Commission by the Governor of Assam, Gulab Chand Katari, as per reports.
The news was shared by Assam Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu on Twitter.
“Hon'ble Governor Shri @Gulab_kataria Ji has appointed Shri Santanu Bharali as a member of the Assam Human Rights Commission. I convey my heartiest congratulations and my best wishes to him for a fruitful tenure ahead,” Pegu's tweet read.

Santanu Bharali has earlier served as the legal advisor of the former Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal.
