GUWAHATI: RTI Activist Dulal Bora has been by the police for allegedly extorting money from a Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI).
As per reports, in a letter to the Principal Secretary of Transport Department, Bora claimed that he have detected multiple corruption cases against the MVI Kamrup (R) Naymuddin Ahmed.
He was arrested after Ali filed an FIR against him with Hatigaon police station, charging him of blackmailing.
In the FIR, Ahmed mentioned that Bora demanded a sum of Rs 5 lakh from him.
