GUWAHATI: The Cyber Police Station (PS) in Guwahati recovered funds for victims of online fraud, retrieving a total of ₹90,000 across two cases on November 29.

In the first instance, a victim from Basistha Chariali, who lost ₹40,000 to an online UPI scam, had the entire amount restored to their bank account.
In a separate case, a victim from Silpukhuri, who fell prey to a ‘digital arrest’ scam and lost ₹2 lakhs, received ₹50,000 of the stolen amount. Efforts are underway to recover the remaining funds in this case.
