GUWAHATI: Guwahati Cyber Police recovered ₹5 lakh on Tuesday, 18 February, from an online investment scam and credited it back to the victim’s bank account. The victim had lost ₹12.6 lakh after being misled by fraudulent investment schemes.

Following a complaint, Cyber Police traced part of the lost amount and successfully retrieved ₹5 lakh. Efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining funds.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to track the perpetrators and take necessary legal action.
