₹2 Crore Worth Of Heroin Seized In Assam’s South Salmara

GUWAHATI: Assam Police seized 252 grams of heroin, valued at ₹2 crore, in South Salmara Mankachar on Wednesday, January 22, after receiving a tip-off about drugs being transported from a neighboring state.

One person was arrested, and further investigations are underway. 

The heroin was found stored in a local house, and authorities are working to uncover its source and distribution network.

In a separate operation, South Salmara Police Station conducted an anti-narcotics raid at Bhalughat, where they seized 995 Tramadol capsules (716g), a Motorola phone, and two bikes. 

One accused was arrested, and the entire operation was carried out under videography. Legal action is underway.
