Orunodoi 3.0 aims to empower Assam's women, or Nari Shakti, by providing them with vital financial support. To ensure seamless and effective distribution of benefits, the scheme will require beneficiaries to have an Aadhaar-seeded ration card as a prerequisite for inclusion. Each selected beneficiary will receive a monthly assistance of ₹1,250, along with insurance coverage under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
The selection of beneficiaries will be conducted at the district level by the District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC), with the process set to commence on September 15. This will ensure that the distribution of benefits is carried out in a transparent and organised manner.
In addition to the financial assistance, the Assam government has set up a helpline number and a grievance redressal mechanism under Orunodoi 3.0. These initiatives are designed to assist beneficiaries in resolving any issues they may encounter while receiving benefits under the scheme, further enhancing the effectiveness of the programme.
