GUWAHATI: The Assam government has taken a step towards empowering women entrepreneurs in urban areas by approving guidelines for the implementation of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Nogoria (MMUA-N). The decision was taken during the Cabinet meeting on January 31, Friday.

The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by offering a ₹10,000 seed fund to eligible beneficiaries. This initiative is expected to boost micro-entrepreneurship among women and promote self-reliance in urban areas of the state.
By facilitating financial aid, MMUA-N seeks to encourage women to establish and expand small-scale businesses, thereby enhancing economic growth and employment opportunities.
