GUWAHATI: Team India opener Rohit Sharma is amongst the four other athletes nominated for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award 2020, which is India's most prestigious sporting honour.
Other than Sharma, table tennis champion Manika Batra, Paralympic gold medalist Mariappan Thangavelu and Asian Games gold medalist Vinesh Phogat have all been advocated for the Khel Ratna Award.

After MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, Rohit becomes only the 4th cricketer ever to be recommended for the Khel Ratna Award.
Rohit Sharma is currently the vice-captain of Team India. He is also the only batsman to score four tons in T20 cricket too.
