The results of Gunotsav Phase II has been declared, and Sibsagar district has bagged the 1st position with 396 schools achieving A+ grade.
A total of 1672 schools secured A+ grade; 5480 got A grade; 6048 rated with B grade; 3638 awarded C grade; & 1974 given D grade.
Gunotsav Phase II was conducted in 12 districts of Assam with participation from 1.12 lakh children, 18811 schools, with 6511 external evaluators in 7 mediums.
Speaking on the achievement, State education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that it's heartening to note that there has been improvements in ratings of schools in Gunotsav Phase II in comparison to Phase. He also said that the progress is a positive sign and augurs well for the acdemic environment in elementary education system in Assam.
