GUWAHATI : The refund of tickets for the abandoned T20 match between India and Sri Lanka is being given at Barsapara Stadium by Assam Cricket Association (ACA) on January 11.

However, cricket fanatics of Assam are annoyed that only one counter has been provided for the refunds.

A mad rush was witnessed at the stadium today as people desperately tried to get back their money.

As per information, only one counter has been provided instead of the said two. Moreover, people who bought their tickets from Nehru Stadium got the refunded amount.

Talking to G Plus, Devajit Lon Saikia, General Secretary of ACA said, “Currently five counters are operating at Barsapara Stadium. Refunds are being made as said.”

When asked about the refund of tickets of the outstation customers, he mentioned, “Refund of ticket money for people from other districts would be made at their respective districts or from where the tickets were brought by 18 January. The amount can be received on producing the ticket.”

Earlier the first India-Sri Lanka T20 match was abandoned in Guwahati due to rain.
