GUWAHATI: Whom will the BJP field for its Gauhati Lok Sabha constituency is a question that is actually making the news right now.
The 3 times BJP MP from Guwahati Bijoya Chakravarty asserted that she is ready to contest from the constituency if BJP strongman and NEDA Convenor Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma contest from another seat.
Chakravarty said that the popularity of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will easily make him win the seat from Guwahati. But, if Himanta Biswa Sarma decides to contest from another constituency, she is interested to contest from the city as there is no anti-incumbency wave against her.
