Ram is Everywhere, Ram Belongs to All: Modi

GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed the nation after laying the foundation stone at the Bhumi Pujan event at the Ram Mandir site in Ayodhya. 

PM Modi laid down a silver brick to mark the foundation ceremony of the Ram Temple.

"Jai Siya Ram," began Prime Minister Modi speaking on the occasion, grateful to be able to witness history being created.

Ram temple construction in Ayodhya will lift the economy of the entire region, he said.

The temple construction is an instrument to unite the country and many people have made sacrifices for construction of the Ram temple to whom PM Modi paid respects.

India, he believes, is creating a golden chapter in Ayodhya, as a wait of centuries ended today with the laying of the foundation stone in Ayodhya. 

Social harmony was a core principle of governance of Lord Ram and Ram temple symbolizes the rich heritage of India, which will be an inspiration to the entire humanity. 

Prime Minister Modi then urged all citizens of India have to join stones for construction of the Ram temple with mutual love and brotherhood.

Citing the message of Lord Ram, PM Modi added that the more powerful India gets, the more it would be loved and remain peaceful and that whenever humanity followed Lord Ram, development took place; we have to take care of sentiments of everyone.

President Ram Nath Kovind also, on the event, said that laying of the foundation stone for Ram Temple in Ayodhya defines India's spirit of social harmony and people's zeal.

Home Minister Amit Shah too, on the occasion, termed foundation laying of Ram temple in Ayodhya a "historic and proud day" for India, and that it heralds the beginning of a new era.
