Rail Blockade for AIIMS demand

The Central Assam AIIMS Demand Committee has announced a three hours rail blockade on Friday, from 9 AM, at Chaparmukh area in support of its demand for setting up of the proposed AIIMS at Raha. The committee has also decided to resume its protest in a stronger manner, in the coming days. Commenting on the move, a source of the Central Assam AIIMS Demand Committee said, “The state government incorporated some irrelevant points on the draft that would be send to the central government which we unanimously opposed. Since then the state government showed total negligence remaining silent on the draft issue and had stopped any further correspondence with us. This has disappointed us all and due to this attitude of the state government we are compelled to go for the Rail blockade programme.”
