After the Indian Government ordered a ban on PUBG gaming application on 2nd September along with 117 other applications with Chinese connection, the PUBG Corporation has in an official statement informed that the PUBG Mobile will no longer be controlled by Tencent Games in India. Instead, the corporation itself will be taking over the responsibilities of publishing the gaming application in India directly.

The corporation stated, "PUBG Corporation fully understands and respects the measures taken by the government as the privacy and security of player data is a top priority for the company. It hopes to work hand-in-hand with the Indian government to find a solution that will allow gamers to once again drop into the battlegrounds while being fully compliant with Indian laws and regulations."

As such China-based Tencent Games will no longer be authorized to distribute the game in India.

Reportedly, Tencent Games have lost $34 billion in terms of market value, in just one day after the app was banned in India.

PUBG Corporation is originally developed and owned by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Corporation of South Korean origin and Tencent Games of China has only been franchised to publish the game.

Soon after the statement was published, PUBG Corporation started trending on Twitter as PUBG players rejoiced.
