GUWAHATI: Ahead of the Indo-Jap Summit, the Assam State government is leaving no stone to unturned to beautify the city.
However, protestors took to the street of Guwahati and asked the labourers and contractors to stop work immediately.
According to reports, the beautification drive on Lachit Ghat on MG Road has been stopped as protestors forced the workers to stop work. The painters working on the roadside were also asked to step away from painting.
Meanwhile, the protests against Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 yesterday were extreme and the same continues today with massive rallies being taken out across the city.
