GUWAHATI: Actor and Assam Tourism Brand Ambassador Priyanka Chopra gets trolled for her choice of outfit at the latest edition of the MET Gala 2019 event, hosted by Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York.
Priyanka Chopra went to event dressed in compliance with this year’s theme – ‘Camp- Notes on Fashion’, which requires the outfits to be based on 'irony, humour, parody, pastiche, artifice, theatricality, and exaggeration.'
Priyanka’s custom-made Dior outfit was coupled with futuristic makeup, outsize hair, feathers, a thigh-high slit and cape. The outfit scored full marks with the fashion police for staying true to the theme of the event.
But it’s her dramatic make-up and hairdo that everyone is making fun of. Her look included afro-curls topped with some kind of caged crown.
Celebrity stylist Mimi Cuttrell had conceptualised Priyanka’s look, while Pati Dubroff did her make-up. Celebrity nail artist Pattie Yankee styled her nails.
Priyanka Chopra’s hair had been done by Bok-Hee.
Twitterati, however, has no respect for experimental fashion and has already flooded the internet with memes on Priyanka’s outfit and look.
