GUWAHATI: On the forty-ninth day of India’s nationwide lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 8 pm this evening.
He had earlier interacted with chief ministers of states which focused on boosting economic activity. It was his fifth interaction with CMs since the coronavirus outbreak in India.
Speculations rose over extension of the current lockdown, which is supposed to last till 17 May, as many Chief Ministers had reportedly asked for the nationwide lockdown to be extended further during the meeting yesterday.
