GUWAHATI: President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Padma Shri awards on prominent personalities at a civil investiture ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan on March 11.
The Padma Shri was conferred on various personalities including Assam's Engineering-Grassroots Innovator, Uddhab Kumar Bharali and noted surgeon, Dr. Ilias Ali.
This year, 112 personalities were selected for the Padma Shri awards, which was announced on the eve of Republic Day.
