Prepared To Handle COVID-19 Cases, Claims GMCH

GUWAHATI: Amidst a recent spurt in COVID-19 cases, the authorities of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) have geared up to deal with it and have claimed that they can handle any kind of situation.

Talking to GPlus, Abhijit Sarma, the superintendent of GMCH, said, "We are fully prepared. We are keeping a close eye. We have ICUs and isolation beds available if required." 

He also urged the people of Assam to follow the COVID protocols. 

“People should avoid going to crowded places. And those who did not get vaccinated should be vaccinated," he further said.

Earlier on Thursday, Guwahati registered a COVID-19 case.

India reported 328 new cases of Covid-19 recently with the active caseload rising to 2997, according to Union Health Ministry data.
