Pragjyotish College In Guwahati Awarded 'A' Grade With CGPA Of 3.01 By NAAC

 

GUWAHATI: Pragjyotish College, located in Guwahati, has been awarded an 'A' Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.01 on a seven-point scale. The announcement was confirmed through an official communication addressed to the principal of the institution.

“Heartiest congratulations to the entire Pragjyotish College family on achieving an 'A' Grade with a CGPA of 3.01 by NAAC!” Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu reaffirmed the development on social media platform X. “Wishing continued growth, academic excellence, and greater milestones in the journey ahead.”

The accreditation, which is valid for a period of five years, has been held effective from December 13, 2024. The outcome of the Assessment and Accreditation exercise was reviewed and approved by the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee, which is responsible for examining peer team reports and declaring final results.

The original certificate of accreditation will be dispatched to the institution in due course. Additionally, the Assessment Outcome Document (AOD) has been made available on the official NAAC portal and may also be accessed through the institutional website of Pragjyotish College.

Additionally, the institution will publish the Self-Study Report (SSR) used during the A&A process. According to NAAC guidelines, the SSR, along with the accompanying data templates, should be kept accessible on the college website for the entire duration of the accreditation’s validity.

The authorities have advised the college to keep the documents password-free to ensure transparency for stakeholders.
