GUWAHATI: Former Chief Minister of Assam, Prafulla Kumar Mahanta along with his wife, Jayashree Mahanta didn’t cast their vote during the second phase of elections on April 18, 2019 in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
Mahanta said that he didn’t cast his vote today as a protest against the Citizenship Bill which will bring a disaster in the state. He further said that the Prime Minister is aware of the issues but still, the government is trying to implement the Bill.
