GUWAHATI: As a disciplinary measure for not abiding by the BJP party norms, Assam BJP State President Ranjit Kumar Dass expelled Pradip Dutta Roy from its primary membership after his provocative remarks against Assamese Students of Assam University, Silchar.

Roy, who is the President of All Cachar-Karimganj-Hailakandi Students’ Association (ACKHSA), threatened that no protests against the Citizenship Amendment Bill shall be allowed in and within the campus of Assam University. Students found involving in any form of protests, shall be expelled from the ducation institution, he warned.
It is to be mentioned that a case was also filed by Durnitibirudhi Oikya Mancha at Golaghat Police Station against Pradip Dutta Roy.
