In an earlier report, G Plus had mentioned that out of a total of 64 traffic points in Guwahati, 15 are currently in need of repair.
In a fortunate incident, the number of traffic points that need repair are decreasing as the Basistha Chariali traffic point is being reconstructed with an overhead shelter to protect traffic policemen and women during extreme heat and rain.

It should be noted that the conditions of traffic police points came to light when a video captured on Sunday, March 31 showed Mithun Das continuously managing traffic during rush hour, which was made all the more difficult as it was accompanied by a heavy thunderstorm. The video won people's hearts and Mithun was lauded from all over for his professionalism.
