Police Tying Up Loose Ends in the Sweta Agarwal Murder Case | Mobile Phone yet to be recovered

Bharalu Police officials continue to investigate Govind Singhal's residence in search of evidence that led to Sweta Agarwal's murder.

The only things that have been recovered are three (3) mobile phones and a pair of hand-gloves. The police is now looking for the victim's phone and the weapon that was used to murder her.

Govind Singhal, the prime accused in the sensational Shweta Agarwal murder case was taken to his residence in Santipur area by a team of investigators where the crime scene was also recreated.

Govind Singhal, while in handcuffs, explained to the police the pre and post-murder circumstances and how he later tried to cover up the murder by putting the body into a gunny bag and then also chose to burn it. The Police have also recovered the rope with which the gunny bag was tied. (Sources

There is also confusion over the involvement of Govind’s mother and sister in the entire incident.

Meanwhile, the Purbottar Pradeshiya Marwari Sammelan and Purbottar Pradeshiya Marwari Yuva Manch on Friday submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M) demanding justice for Sweta Agarwal and a payment of Rs 15 lakhs as ex-gratia to the bereaved family. They have also demanded that the case is tried in a fast-track court to ensure swift justice.
