GUWAHATI: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) from Tarapur police outpost in Assam’s Silchar recently passed away on the way to work.

The police officer, Rahimuddin Majumdar, passed away after suffering a sudden heart attack while en route to work.
Majumdar was riding his bike to the police station when he collapsed on the road after suffering a heart attack. Local residents quickly came to his aid and rushed him to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) in an effort to save his life.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Tarapur police outpost said, "We lost him due to a sudden heart attack. It was unexpected."
Despite their prompt actions and the medical team’s efforts, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. Further investigations are underway.
