The WTSA, organised every four years, is the governing conference for the standardisation work of the International Telecommunication Union, a UN agency focused on digital technologies. This year marks the first time the WTSA will be hosted in India and the Asia-Pacific region.

The event aims to draw over 3,000 industry leaders, policymakers, and technology experts from more than 190 countries, representing sectors like telecom, digital, and ICT. WTSA 2024 will also serve as a platform for global discussions on the future of standards for next-generation technologies, including 6G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and cybersecurity.

In conjunction, the India Mobile Congress 2024 will showcase advancements in areas like quantum technology, circular economy, 5G and 6G use cases, cloud computing, semiconductors, and green technology. It will feature over 400 exhibitors, 900 startups, and participation from more than 120 countries.

India's role as host will provide an opportunity for the country to shape the global telecom agenda and contribute to setting the course for future technologies. Both events aim to propel India at the forefront of global telecommunications and technology innovation.
