Sources indicate that Thackeray, who has a history of heart-related issues, is undergoing diagnostic tests to check for any new blockages in his heart arteries. The tests are expected to determine if an angiography is necessary to assess his condition further.

Thackeray reportedly felt unwell following his Dussehra rally on October 12, where he delivered a strong speech criticising both the ruling Maharashtra government and the Centre. His health history includes an angioplasty in 2012, during which eight stents were placed in three major heart arteries to address multiple blockages.

The former chief minister also underwent an angiography in 2016 at Lilavati Hospital.

Thackeray served as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister from 2019 to 2022, played a key role in leading the Shiv Sena through a political split and has been a prominent figure in state politics. His leadership remains influential within the Shiv Sena (UBT) faction.
