PM Modi lays foundation stone for many projects in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh

GUWAHATI: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi reached Arunachal Pradesh at around 11 a.m. today, February 9. He laid the foundation stone for greenfield airport in Itanagar and inaugurated other development projects in the state. 

“Today I got the opportunity to inaugurate or lay foundation of projects worth Rs. 4,000 crore. Additional projects worth Rs. 13,000 crores is in progress in the state,” the PM said at the event. 

He added that the airport will be completed in time like other greenfield airports. 

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for a permanent campus for FTII in Jote, Itanagar, according to news agency PTI. 

In addition to that, he inaugurated DD Arun Prabha Channel, upgraded Tezu airport, 110 MW Pare hydroelectric project, 50 health and wellness centres in Itanagar, based on reports by PTI.
