GUWAHATI: Being self-reliant and self-sufficient is the way forward, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation on the COVID-19 situation.
He stated five pillars of being self-reliant: economy, infrastructure, the system, demography and demand and supply chain.
PM Modi added that India has set an example for progress in the last century and the country needs to become self-reliant after the coronavirus pandemic.
"Before the pandemic, India wasn't producing N-95 masks or any PPE equipment, but now there are lakhs of PPE equipment being produced in India everyday," he added.
