The petition urges the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct the NEET-UG exam once more in light of the accusations surrounding the alleged paper leak. Expressing doubts about the fairness of the May 5 exam, the petitioners advocate its cancellation.
Filed on June 1, the petition is slated for consideration before the vacation bench during the current week. This move follows previous legal actions taken regarding similar concerns.

In a previous instance on May 17, the Supreme Court declined to halt the declaration of NEET-UG exam results while reviewing a petition with analogous demands. The petitioners of the previous case argued that the NTA-conducted exam on May 5 was marred by irregularities due to several reported instances of paper leaks.
They contended that this breach compromised the principles of fairness enshrined in Article 14 of the Constitution. Although the bench, led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, issued a notice on the petition and scheduled the matter for July, it maintained that the nationwide results of the exam could not be halted.
