GUWAHATI: Petrol pumps in the city will remain closed in view of the All India Trade Bandh from 5.00 am to 5.00 pm today.
In order to extend support to the bandh called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) to oppose the Walmart-Flipkart deal besides foreign direct investment in retail trade, the Greater Guwahati unit of North East Petroleum Dealers’ Association called upon this bandh.

As the bandh was rumoured from yesterday night itself, the denizens of Guwahati took up preventive measures to tackle this situation.
However, it is to be mentioned that the constant bandhs have become a tradition rather than a motive which are leaving the people of the state high and dry.
