GUWAHATI: A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed in connection with the death of a class three student inside her classroom at the Vidya Mandir School in Guwahati on October 19.
While speaking to G Plus, the Officer-In-Charge of Noonmati Police Station said that the parents of the child alleged that their child died due to the negligence of the class teacher.
The parents also said to the police that she fell on the floor while running and was caught in a stampede caused by the other children. This incident was allegedly hidden by the school authorities, as per the FIR at the Noonmati Police Station.
The eight-year-old child collapsed on the floor inside the classroom and the teachers had reportedly, taken her to the school’s infirmary after which she was taken to the hospital where she was eventually declared dead.
