Viral Bhayani, the Indian photographer and content creator, has landed in trouble for a controversial remark on Instagram involving the name Sita.
The paparazzo posted a story on his official Instagram handle yesterday saying, “Nowadays only 2 husbands matter in India, Sita’s & Nita’s.”

The remark was widely criticized by users on X with some seeking legal action against Viral Bhayani, which led to him deleting the story. He later posted an apology for his followers stating that he had no intention to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments.
“I apologize for this story, but I have no intentions to hurt any religious sentiments,” he said in his apology post.
Viral Bhayani’s post had come after the recent pre-wedding festivities of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani, the youngest son of the Chairman of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani. The remark also makes a reference to the inauguration ceremony of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, taking a jab at the country’s two most publicized events in 2024.
