Over ₹90,000 Crore Allotted To Develop Roadways Across Assam

 

GUWAHATI: Several pivotal infrastructure projects are currently underway in Assam, spearheaded by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL), and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Key ongoing projects in Assam include:
1. Dhubri - Phulbari Bridge in Assam
2. Multi-Modal Logistic Park at Jogighopa, Assam
3. Six-laning of Guwahati Bypass, Assam
4. Four-laning of Narimbanglo-Jatinga Harangajao

These initiatives are set to transform the region's connectivity and transportation networks.

Overview of Assam's Infrastructure Projects include:
•Upcoming Projects: Assam has 48 upcoming projects, collectively spanning a length of 802 kilometres, with a total project cost (TPC) of ₹40,836 crore.
•Ongoing Projects: The state is actively executing 64 ongoing projects, covering a total length of 1,190 kilometres, with a cumulative TPC of ₹37,700 crore.
•Completed Projects: Assam boasts 136 completed projects, encompassing a total length of 2,099 kilometres, with a combined TPC of ₹12,164 crore.

In total, Assam is overseeing 248 projects, which traverse a length of 4,091 kilometres and account for a TPC of ₹90,700 crore.
