GUWAHATI: Reliance Industries will invest more than ₹50,000 crore throughout Assam in various industries and across sectors, over the next 5 years.
This was committed by group head Mukesh Ambani at the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit on Tuesday, February 25. Ambani said that Reliance will invest majorly in the sectors of technology and AI to make Assam tech and AI-ready.
High-performance computing infrastructure will be established throughout the state along with an AI-ready data centre. This will assist students, farmers, doctors and professionals in different genres of work. Assam will also be transformed into a hub of clean and green energy including nuclear energy along with the participation of private entities.

Reliance will also build two world-class hubs of compressed biogas and CBG across wastelands in Assam which will produce 8 lakh tons of biogas annually which is enough to fuel 2 lakh passenger cars every day.
Reliance will also help Assam become a major supplier of food and non-food consumer products along with a mega food park in Assam.
Reliance will also double the number of its retail stores to 800. Additionally, Reliance is also expected to boost the hotel and hospitality sector along with the establishment of a 7-star Oberoi hotel in Assam.
The summit is being attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers, delegates from several countries and industry leaders among others.
The summit will conclude tomorrow.
