GUWAHATI: Assam, long celebrated as India’s tea paradise, is now on track to becoming a technological powerhouse, said Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani at the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit on February 25.

Speaking at the event, Ambani emphasized the state’s rapid growth and its tech-savvy youth, stating that in the coming decades, Assam will redefine AI—not just as Artificial Intelligence, but as Assam Intelligence.
He further highlighted Assam’s emergence as one of the fastest-growing states in India, fueled by investments in technology, AI, and green energy. With major infrastructure projects in the pipeline, Assam is poised to become a key player in India’s digital and economic transformation.
Reliance Industries will invest more than ₹50,000 crore throughout Assam in various industries and across sectors, over the next 5 years. This was stated in the inauguration ceremony of Advantage Assam 2.0 today.
The Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, industry leaders, and global delegates, is set to conclude on February 26.
