GUWAHATI: In the ongoing war against drugs, a team from the Chandmari Police Station apprehended two alleged drug peddlers, Mintu Rahman of Chandmari, and Syed Iftikar Aziz of Kamalpur, near the Anuradha Cinema Complex on the evening of December 15, according to a statement from the Guwahati Police.
Following the arrests, subsequent raids were conducted at the residences of the suspects, leading to the discovery of 48 vials containing 62.66 grams of suspected brown sugar, along with 920 empty vials and a substantial cash amounting to ₹3,30,550. Additionally, during the operation, another individual identified as Rajib Jyoti Rajbongshi of Noonmati was arrested at the residence of Aziz.
The Guwahati Police confirmed that legal action has been initiated against the apprehended individuals.
