GUWAHATI: In a recent stride toward empowering rural communities, the Assam Cabinet has given its nod to release a substantial sum of ₹2,112.63 crore.
This allocation is intended to cover the repayment of both principal and interest for the financial year 2023-2024 to Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. (REC Ltd.). The funds will be directed towards the execution of rural electrification projects in Assam, facilitated by the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL).
The release of these funds ensures that rural electrification projects proceed without any hindrance. Timely access to financial resources is crucial for the successful execution of such vital initiatives.
