GUWAHATI: Assam’s boxers delivered an exceptional performance at the 38th National Games, securing multiple medals on Friday, February 7.

Olympian Lovlina Borgohain and Ankushita Boro led the charge with gold medal victories, while boxer Shiva Thapa and Abhinav Saikia clinched silver. Aikon Millie added to the tally with a bronze.
Lovlina, competing in the women's middleweight (75kg) division, displayed her vast experience and skill to dominate her opponent from Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Ankushita Boro continued her impressive form in the women’s 66kg category, securing gold with a victory over her Uttarakhand rival.
Shiva Thapa and Abhinav Saikia claimed silver medals, while Aikon Millie contributed to the tally with a bronze.
The 2025 National Games began on January 28 and will conclude on February 14.
