GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a bridge today that now connects Borghola and Kirtanpara over the River Aie in Bongaigaon. During the inauguration, while addressing the media CM mentioned that 1,086 bridges are being built across the state, with 842 bridges already completed within the last two years.
Earlier, on June 20, the CM had unveiled a memorial plaque during the highly anticipated opening of a 27-kilometre bridge in Golakganj's Dhubri district, situated near the border with Bangladesh.
The completion of this bridge follows a long-standing local demand from the people of Golakganj and the entire Dhubri district.
