GUWAHATI: A resident doctor at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) in Assam’s Barpeta was found dead in his hostel room on Wednesday, January 22. The doctor, identified as Bikash Kumar Pravin Bhai Bhoy, allegedly died by suicide.

Bikash, originally from Gujarat, was in the third semester of his postgraduate medical course. He was discovered hanging from the ceiling of his room. Authorities reported that no suicide note was found, and the reason behind his actions remains unknown.
“A resident doctor of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room. The reason for the suicide is still unknown. Investigation is going on. ” an official from Barpeta polce station said to GPlus.
