The suspect, identified as Haranur Rashid was a former student of Harendra Chitra College. Investigations have also implicated Mohir Uddin, the headmaster of Koragari Pathar Regional High School, suggesting that the malpractice might be part of a larger network.

Talking to GPlus, a senior administrative official of the district said,” The person has been implicated of the charges as mentioned and has been taken in. Further investigations are underway.”

Further scrutiny has also been allegedly directed at Arup Das, a professor at Harendra Chitra College, who was on duty as an examiner at the centre. Rashid who was previously a student of Das has raised concerns about possible internal complicity in the fraud.
