GUWAHATI: When NEUFC went 2-0 down inside 20 mins not many would have given the highlanders a chance of getting back in the game. But over the next 45 minutes, we witnessed pure magic on the pitch as Bartholomew Ogbeche scored a hattrick in 10 minutes to lead the team to 3-3 at HT.
Already on the ascendancy and with the momentum behind them, NEUFC captured the lead with Rowlin Borges scoring for the 2nd game in a row. NEUFC held on for the rest of the game to take home the vital 3 points and cement their place at the top of the table.
The Highlanders next go up against Jamshedpur FC at the Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati on the 25th of October and Coach Eelco Schattorie's men will be looking to keep up their unbeaten run this season.
