NYX Lounge & Deck, located in Hotel Palacio, is organising a “Karaoke Star” competition which started from June 27.
In keeping with popular demand, NYX is organising this competition where participants will be able to take part in the karaoke event and sing to their heart’s content.
The competition features four rounds. The first round took place on Thursday, June 27 and the following three rounds will be held on each consecutive Thursday in July- 4, 11 and 18. The final round of the competition will be held on July 25 at the nightclub’s premises.
For each of these rounds, a total of ten individuals can participate by registering at NYX’s Facebook page.
Two winners from each round, for a total of eight participants will be selected to compete in the Grand Finale.
The first runners up will win prize money worth Rs. 10,000 and the winner will receive a Grand Prize worth Rs. 21,000.
“People have been wanting karaoke nights in Guwahati for a while now, so NYX wanted to be the first to introduce this concept in an interesting manner. The turnout has been great so far and I’m sure it will only get better. We’re also on the hunt for Guwahati’s emerging karaoke jockey, so this is the perfect occasion for it. We’re very excited about it,” said Varun Vohra, Public Relations manager, NYX.
