NRL Pays Rs 136 Cr as Interim Dividend to Assam Govt

GUWAHATI: Managing Director, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) SK Barua presented the company’s interim dividend amounting to Rs 136 crore to chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal. 

The officials from Numaligarh Refinery called on CM Sonowal at Assam Legislative Assembly, Guwahati and submitted the cheque of Rs. 136 crores as interim dividend of the company for a period of 9 months.

Sonowal received the cheque as part of the dividend against Government of Assam’s equity holding of 12.35 per cent in the company. 

The final dividend will be decided at the NRL’s board meeting after the end of the current financial year ending on March 31.

Industry and commerce minister Chandra Mohan Patowary and other senior officials of NRL were present during presentation of the dividend cheque.
