GUWAHATI: All temporary Covid Care Centres (CCC) that were operating in Guwahati have been closed down as COVID-19 cases have been found to be gradually declining.

Now COVID-19 patients will be treated only in Kalapahar Covid Care Hospital, Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) and Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH).
"However, if the COVID situation in Guwahati changes for the worse, then we are prepared to restart these centers again," said health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
"Currently, we can definitely say that the pandemic situation in Assam is under control. But as a second and third wave is being seen in different parts of India, we need to remain alert," added the health minister.
