GUWAHATI: The Chandmari Police in Guwahati arrested 9 robbers who were involved in different thefts across the city, on Tuesday, April 8. A few members of the gang were arrested from different locations across the city, whereas the others were arrested from Mankachar and Bongaigaon. The gang was allegedly involved in theft of gold ornaments from a family at Pub Sarania. CCTV footages captured the scenes of the incident.

An official from Chandmari Police Station said, "We have recovered 4 scooties, gold chains, cameras and mobile phones from the thieves. The gang sold gold chains to two jewelers across the city. We have taken the thieves into custody. We are questioning the jewelers for more information."
