GUWAHATI: Northeast based screenwriter-director, Nicholas Kharkongor’s Hindi film ‘Axone,’ is set to stream on Netflix from June 12.
The title of the film comes from a pungent northeastern ethnic dish, Axone. In the film, a bunch of youngsters from north-east India are trying to get together and cook a special dish, Axone.
The film stars Sayani Gupta, Dolly Ahluwalia, Lin Laishram, Vinay Pathak, Aakash Bhardwaj and Jimpa Bhutia among others.

In 2019, Axone was the official selection for the BFI London Film Festival and India Story Mumbai Film Festival.
Kharkongor’s first film was 'Mantra' which starred Rajat Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and Adil Hussain.
