GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has cancelled the Kamakhya - Anand Vihar Terminal Special train that is scheduled for tomorrow, October 17.
The special train no. 02549 (Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Terminal) scheduled to leave from the Kamakhya station tomorrow has been cancelled due to the derailment of a goods train in the Ghaziabad-Rura rail route of the Northern Railway.
Twenty-four empty wagons of a goods train derailed near Ambiapur on the busy Delhi-Howrah rail route yesterday, October 15. No casualties have however been reported.
The wagons have been badly damaged, and rail tracks have got uprooted due to the accident, the Railways said.
The special train no. 04069 (Jogbani-Anandvihar Terminal) scheduled to leave from Jogbani in Bihar today, October 16, has been cancelled as well.
