After Movies and Songs, Zubeen Garg to play lead in Video Game

The first cinematic 3D Video Game based on the record breaking Assamese film Mission China is set to release in 2018. Mission China: The Game will feature Zubeen Garg as Colonel Goswami in the lead role, making Zubeen Garg the first Assamese artiste to play the main role (Hero) in a video game.

A group of three friends, Anshuman Gogoi, Ankur Jyoti Hatiboruah and Deep Jyoti Konwar, pursuing Bachelors in Computer Application (BCA) from Sibsagar Commerce College, are currently developing the game.

Mission China: The Game will be the first game wherein one player can play as multiple characters. The game will have a total of 8 characters, with six main characters and two side characters. Zubeen Garg, Sidharth Goswami, D Com Bhuyan, Tridip. D. Lahon, Pabitra Rabha, and Bibhuti Bhushan Hazarika will play the main characters, with Yankee Parashar and Garima Garg as side characters. Other characters like Deeplina Deka will feature in skip-able animations and film scenes.

Talking to G Plus, Anshuman Gogoi informed that the desktop version of the game is expected to release sometime in February, while the android version is expected to come out much later in April and iOS version in June.

Gogoi further informed G Plus, “Zubeen Garg is very closely associated with the making of the game - The dubbing for the game will be done at Zubeen Garg’s studio and he’s also expected to provide funding.” He further added, “This is the first game that we’re working on. Apart from the Mission China Game, we’re also working on GST software that will release by December end.”

“There will be many twists in this unique 3D Game along with pleasant surprises for the gamers. We hope that the game attracts the attention of gamers and receives appreciation,” said the developers.
